QRIS or USDT: which payment method should you offer?

PAYWISE accepts two payment methods: QRIS and USDT on BEP20. Many shops offer both, but it helps to know which customers each one is for, and how the money reaches you.

QRIS: for customers in Indonesia

QRIS is Indonesia's national QR standard. Almost every banking app and e-wallet can pay it, so most local customers already know how to use it.

  • Who pays: customers with an Indonesian bank account or e-wallet.
  • Currency: rupiah.
  • Funds available: in settlement batches during the day (payments made from 19:00 WIB become available at 10:30 the next day). See settlement and withdrawals.
  • Withdraw to: an Indonesian bank account.
  • Watch out for: each payment has a minimum and maximum amount, and the QR code expires after a set time.

USDT: for international and crypto customers

USDT is a stablecoin that follows the US dollar. PAYWISE accepts it on the BEP20 network (BNB Smart Chain).

  • Who pays: customers abroad, or anyone who already holds crypto.
  • Currency: USDT.
  • Funds available: as soon as the payment is paid.
  • Withdraw to: a BEP20 wallet.
  • Watch out for: customers must use the BEP20 network and send the exact amount shown. Funds sent on another network such as TRC20 or ERC20 can be lost.
